Yoojin Kang, who is teaching Civil Engineering courses at the summer school organized at Baku Engineering University (BMU) as part of the BMU-INHA Dual Degree Program implemented jointly with INHA University of the Republic of Korea, expressed her pleasure at having the opportunity to teach at BMU.
“It is a great pleasure for me to teach the students of Baku Engineering University. I would like to thank the university administration for the invitation,” said the INHA University doctoral student.
Sharing her impressions, Yoojin Kang noted that she has successfully completed the theoretical coursework stage of her doctoral program at INHA University and is currently continuing her research activities. According to her, during the summer school, students are being taught the fundamental theoretical principles of hydrology. The classes cover infiltration processes in soil, probability analysis, precipitation estimation, surface runoff, and other important hydrological processes. The aim is not only for students to acquire theoretical knowledge but also to develop their ability to apply this knowledge to solving practical engineering problems.
“I am pleased to see that the students are highly interested in the subject and actively participate in the classes. I am very happy to teach them. I hope that the knowledge they have gained will be useful in their future professional careers,” Yoojin Kang added.
The doctoral student, who said this was her first visit to Baku, also emphasized that the city had made a positive impression on her:
“The city is very beautiful. Baku’s architecture stands out for its harmonious combination of modern and historical styles. That is why I really enjoy walking through the city’s streets. I hope that in the future I will have the opportunity to visit Baku again, this time to explore the city and get to know its landmarks more closely.”
