The next three-week summer training program, organized at Baku Engineering University (BEU) with the participation of the faculty of Korea's prestigious INHA University, continues its activities. Organized within the framework of the international dual-degree program (DDP) implemented between the two higher education institutions, the summer training program is of significant importance for deepening students' theoretical knowledge, developing their practical skills, and providing them with international academic experience.
Thirteen faculty members from INHA University have been engaged in the teaching process of the summer training program. Within the framework of the three-week intensive program, classes are being held in the specialties of "Computer Science / Artificial Intelligence Engineering (AI)," "Data Analytics / Data Science," "Information Technologies," "Electrical and Electronics Engineering," "Civil Engineering," "Electrical Engineering," and "Electronics Engineering."
As part of the program, which is a component of the academic year and will conclude on July 24, students gain knowledge in subjects covering current directions of modern science and technology. Courses taught by Korean professors and lecturers include "Introduction to Machine Learning," "Digital Systems Design," "Digital Signal Processing," "Electronic Circuits – 2," "Advanced Structural Analysis," "Hydrology," "Automatic Control," "Digital Logic Circuits," "Computer Algorithms," "Object-Oriented Programming," "Fundamentals of Programming," "Introduction to Statistics," "Probability Theory," "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence," and "Python Programming."
The summer school held within the framework of the DDP provides students with the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills in line with international standards, as well as to develop professional competencies that meet the demands of the global labor market. At the same time, it makes a significant contribution to further strengthening academic cooperation between higher education institutions of Azerbaijan and South Korea and to expanding international relations in the field of education.
A total of 215 students are currently enrolled in the international dual-degree program implemented at the bachelor's level between BEU and INHA University. To date, 256 students have graduated from the program.
