BEU Student: “The Dual Degree Program Is a Significant Advantage for Our Future Careers”

2026

Omar Aliyev, a first-year student majoring in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence Engineering) under the BEU-INHA Dual Degree Program implemented between Baku Engineering University (BEU) and INHA University of the Republic of Korea, has shared his thoughts on the experience he gained at the summer school and the advantages of the program. According to him, the summer school makes an important contribution both to acquiring fundamental knowledge in their field and to helping students begin the next stages of their education better prepared.

Currently participating in the summer school organized with the involvement of professional faculty members from Korea, Omar Aliyev emphasized that the educational process has been both interesting and productive:

“The summer school is memorable not only for its engaging classes but also for its invaluable role in building the fundamental knowledge we will need in our field in the future. The classes we attend together with our fellow students, everyone’s enthusiasm for learning, and the team spirit make this process even more enjoyable. I am very proud to be a member of such a community.”

Omar Aliyev noted that the summer school provides students with introductory theoretical and practical knowledge related to their field. Currently, the program includes courses such as “Introduction to Artificial Intelligence” and “Python Programming.” During the classes delivered by Professors Lee and Kim, students acquire knowledge of the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, programming skills, and other important competencies that they will use in their future professional careers.

The student also highlighted the opportunity to earn dual degrees as one of the program’s greatest advantages:

“Studying for three years at BEU and one year at INHA University in South Korea and then earning degrees from both higher education institutions is a great advantage for us. Having diplomas recognized both locally and internationally will play an important role in building our future careers and developing as qualified professionals.”

It should be noted that Omar Aliyev, who was admitted to his chosen major with a score of 649 points, expressed his gratitude to everyone involved in organizing the program. He emphasized that the opportunities provided make an important contribution to students’ access to internationally oriented education and the development of their knowledge and skills.
