“This is my first visit to Baku Engineering University (BEU), and I am very happy to be here. The university campus is beautiful and has modern infrastructure.”
These remarks were made by Gyungsu Byun, Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at INHA University. He expressed his great satisfaction with teaching at the Summer School held at BEU and conducted by the faculty members of INHA University of the Republic of Korea, as well as with the opportunity to share his knowledge in the field.
“I am teaching the course ‘Digital System Design for High-Performance Computing Systems and AI Computing Systems.’ This course covers critical and fundamental blocks of digital systems, as well as the design of next-generation high-performance AI computing systems,” the Korean professor said.
Implemented within the framework of the BEU–INHA Double Degree Program (BEU–INHA DDP), a fully state-funded international double degree program between BEU and INHA University, the Summer School serves as an extension of the academic year and is conducted over a three-week period.
The BEU–INHA DDP has been implemented since 2020 within the framework of the State Program on Increasing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019–2023. By an Order signed by President Ilham Aliyev last month, the implementation period of the program was extended until 2030.
The international double degree program, based on the 3+1 model, admits students in four majors for the 2025/2026 academic year: Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence Engineering), Data Analytics (Data Science), Information Technology, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
