I Am Honored to Teach Students in Azerbaijan

2023

“I am honored to teach students in Azerbaijan as part of the fully state-funded Dual Degree Program jointly implemented by Baku Engineering University (BEU) and INHA University, Republic of Korea. I am particularly pleased because they are very enthusiastic about the science of Hydrology and eager to learn more about it.”

These remarks were made by Kyung Hun Kim, a lecturer at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at INHA University.

Speaking about the three-week Summer School at BEU, delivered by faculty members of INHA University, Kyung Hun Kim said that he teaches students Hydrology, the science concerned with the study of the movement and distribution of water in nature:

“It is a complex system involving many different processes, and throughout the course, we learn a great deal about this system and gain theoretical knowledge. These days, global climate change is affecting both Korea and Azerbaijan, including Baku. By studying Hydrology, we can analyze the impact of climate change on the water cycle. We need to understand the fundamentals of Hydrology and use this knowledge in ways that benefit people’s lives and our society.”
