BEU-INHA DDP Admission Quota Reaches 100% Capacity

The admission results for the 2026/2027 academic year of the International Dual Degree Program (BEU-INHA DDP), jointly implemented by Baku Engineering University (BEU) and INHA University of the Republic of Korea, have been announced.

Nearly 500 applicants registered for admission to the program, of whom 363 took the internal admission examination. Based on the results of the written internal examination in mathematics, physics, and English, conducted by INHA University on August 4, 2026, a total of 104 students were admitted to the program. Admission was conducted for four majors, with 26 students admitted to each: Information Technology, Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence Engineering), Data Analytics, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. As a result, 100% of the allocated admission quota for the BEU-INHA DDP was filled.

The academic performance of the admitted students clearly demonstrates the highly competitive nature of the program and the strong academic preparation of the selected students. Of the 104 admitted students, 28.8% scored above 600 points, while 57.7% scored above 500 points.

The highest score, 676.2 points, was achieved by Javad Javadzade, who was admitted to Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence Engineering). The highest scores in the other majors were achieved by Kenan Balakishiyev in Data Analytics (655.9), Yadulla Nasirli in Information Technology (648.3), and Said Gafarov in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (628.1).

The list of candidates who successfully passed the internal examination was submitted to the Ministry of Science and Education, and they were automatically registered by the State Examination Center (SEC). Therefore, these candidates were not required to participate separately in the SEC’s major selection (coding) stage.

The BEU-INHA DDP has been successfully implemented since 2020 within the framework of the “State Program on Increasing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019–2023,” approved by the relevant Decree of the President of Azerbaijan. By a decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev on July 22, 2025, the implementation period of the program was extended until 2030.

Under the 3+1 education model, students complete the first three years of their education at BEU and the final year at INHA University. Graduates who successfully complete the program are awarded bachelor’s degrees by both universities.

It should be noted that 256 students have graduated from the BEU-INHA DDP since its implementation six years ago.
